Clean The House - Days 2 to 4

The task of day 2 was to clean under the kitchen sink. It came just on time when WonderfulHusband needed to fix a leak. After he was ready, I was able to remove all the water-catcher jars and clean the floor. We get leaks really often, so I cannot hope that it will stay nice, but for a while ...

The next task is in our house always done. I sort out all worn-out clothes and socks in a regular basis and into the "rag rug making bag" they go. Then, when I have time, I cut them into stripes and bring to my mother who weaves rag rugs out of them. This is sort of "family business" for us, because we sell the rugs on markets during the summer. I used to weave rugs, too, but right now there is no time and my loom stands lonely in and unfinished room. I hope to start doing this sometime again.

The task of day 4 ... is complicated. There is always possible that some good-quality socks are on the bottom of a toybox and I am not throwing away their lonely partners until I am 100% sure that they are lonely forever. Also, WonderfulHusband's socks turn out of the most unbelievable places. We are just not very neat people. And because good socks here are expensive, they are worth mending, so sometimes I also try to save those that have small holes in them. Hand-knit socks get pulled to seocond-sock yarn and will be knit again. My mother uses old yarn (been already in a sweater or socks before) anyway. All our woollen socks come from Granny!

White Mini loves to play with rag rugs. Some of the rugs are thinner and some are thicker, on the picture there's a thin one, easy to shake out and easy to wash. Also, this one is really old, I think about 15 years so that they look quite nice a long time.
