The cold weather has arrived

I hate it.

Thank God, the amount of snow is quite normal for Estonian winter. But last week the weather turned colder and colder, until last night when we had -13'F. Two different weather forecasts say that it will get even worse during next week.

Pipes under the bathroom floor are frozen again. Ou car needed a neighbour's help today and there's no guarantee it will start for us tomorrow morning. We have fan heaters working all day and the woodstoves/ovens are heated as much as possible (you must not heat them too much or they will burst). It is actually quite cosy inside but we have to go out to get to work ... and to get firewood in.

I just hope this cold spell will be short and we can start thinking about spring soon. Last winter was long enough to last us a lifetime.
